AIF is a non-profit organization that supports innovation and entrepreneurship in Africa. It provides funding, mentorship, and networking opportunities to innovative startups and entrepreneurs in the SADC region. AIF also promotes intellectual property protection and management among its beneficiaries.
WIPO is a specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes the protection of intellectual property rights worldwide. Its Regional Bureau for Africa provides technical assistance and capacity building to its member states in the region, including the SADC countries, in the areas of patents, trademarks, and copyright.
